SENECA SYSTEMS™ SOLVENT S-103

Solvent S-103 was developed to mimic the activity of methylene chloride strippers without the methylene chloride. It is a fast acting, medium flash point stripper with detergent and anti-evaporant additives. Designed to be used with a water or thinner wash. The cost per gallon is competitive with methylene chloride strippers and in a stripping tray evaporation test the evaporation rate is somewhat less than methylene chloride strippers.

SENECA SYSTEMS™ Solvent S-103 is a flammable solvent, which requires that ventilation fan motors, pump motors, lighting and any other electrical appliances in the stripping and drying areas be wired in accordance with the National Electric Code (N.E.C.) requirements for flammable liquids and vapors (Class 1 Group D). This can be expensive but when compared to the initial and continuing costs of modifying your shop to be OSHA compliant for methylene chloride the payback is less than one year.

The stripper is offered in two compatible formulations; S-103 and the S-103P, A semi-paste version to be used to prep heavily painted pieces when a dip tank is not available.

SENECA SYSTEMS™ Solvent S-103 is offered in 5-gallon pails, 30 and 55-gallon drums. Solvent S-103P is offered in 5-gallon pails and 30-gallon drums.

Solvent S-103 may be used in existing flow-over systems or, you may purchase a complete stripping system SENECA SYSTEMS™ CLEAR CHOICE II™. This package includes a 4 X 8 ft. stripping tray with integral removable 5-gallon reservoir and strainer, air driven seal less centrifugal pump, explosion-proof area ventilating exhaust fan, and 55-gallons of Solvent S-103.
