SLUDGE DETOXIFIERTM
The sludge produced during paint stripping operations invariably contains high levels of lead and other heavy metals which are easily extractable. These sludges are classified as a hazardous waste by the E.P.A. and should be disposed of in accordance with the state and federal regulations.
SENECA SYSTEMSTM LEACH FREETM Sludge DetoxifierTM solves the problem of extractability by binding the heavy metals and converting them to compounds that are non-extractable by E.P.A. procedures. Simply blend LEACH FREETM into your wet sludge, allow to dry and dispose of it legally in your dumpster.
In extraction tests performed by an E.P.A accredited laboratory, the level of extractable lead in dried paint sludge was reduced from 25 milligrams per liter of extract to below the detectable limit of 0.44 milligrams per liter, well below the maximum level allowed by the E.P.A.
